Request an appointment
Thank you so much for your interest in being tattooed by me! Please take a moment to review the information below prior to submitting an appointment request.
-Everyone who submits will not get a tattoo this time around- As I am one artist, I can only do so many tattoos each month. I am so thankful that you all support me and hope that you will not be discouraged if you are unable to book in this cycle.
-I work on all skin types, maturities, and colors.
-I charge hourly ($250/hour) and have a $300 minimum.
For help budgeting, please refer to the examples below:
$300- A small, relatively simple piece.
$400-500- A palm sized, more detailed piece. Or a larger tattoo with relatively little details.
$600-800- Larger tattoos with high detail.
$1200- Any session taking my full day- full stomachs and back sessions.
Stomach tattoos never exceed $1200.
Backs fully completed are usually around $2500-3000
Need-based sliding scale rates are open for the following communities: BIPOC, LGBTQ+, SWers, disabled folks, and unpaid community organizers.*
-I offer a day rate of $1200- any single session that takes beyond 4 hours and no more than 6 hours will fall under my day rate. This is a way of me thanking you for allowing me to work on large projects with you- you’re the best!
-All tattoos require a $200 transaction fee non-refundable deposit upon booking. While traveling, tattoos require a $250 deposit. This deposit goes directly to the cost of your tattoo.
-All artwork is custom. I can take inspiration from other works but cannot directly replicate imagery that is not my own. The only exceptions to this rule are handwriting from clients’ relatives, loved ones, etc. and artworks that are public domain (ex. “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt).
-I do not tattoo styles that are not my own, no American Traditional, no minimalist tattoos, no anime tattoos/pop culture tattoos that heavily rely on the source imagery. I am open to interpreting these styles in my own style.
-Pet portraits are on a case-by-case basis- because pet portraits are portraits, the photo resolution and quality must be quite high as I work directly from the photos you provide.
-I am happy to answer any and all questions about the process, please feel free to inquire about a consultation. This can be done in person or over Facetime. No question is a silly question. :-)
*Sliding Scale Info
My sliding scale rate is $180-250 per hour.
Please allow me to know in advance if you’d like to use the sliding scale system so that I can design a tattoo that reflects your ideal budget. While budgeting, please keep in mind that industry standard for tipping is 20% to cover supply cost and studio fees.
Consider Paying less if:
• are a person who experiences racism directed at you, or via systemic oppression
• are a Black, Indigenous or First Nations, brown, or otherwise non-white person
• are transgender and experience trans related discrimination and/or violence regularly
• are gay/queer and experience related discrimination and/or violence regularly
• have medical expenses not covered by insurance
• have medical expenses, been denied work, or experience discrimination related to ableism
• are eligible for public assistance
• have immigration-related expenses
• are a sex worker who experiences occupational discrimination (personal or legislative)
• are an unpaid community organizer
• are a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history
• are supporting children or have other dependents
• are an elder with limited financial support
Consider paying more if:
• own the home you live in
• have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
• travel recreationally, or are traveling out of state for this tattoo
• have access to family money and resources in times of need
• work part time by choice
• have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education, gender privilege, racial privilege, class background, etc. Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, I ask you to recognize this as a choice.
Other things to consider:
When I pay more, I know that I am helping the artist support themselves. When I pay in the middle, I know I am helping the artist cover costs. And when I pay at the bottom, I know I am letting my community hold me and support me. All of these are acceptable ways of participating.
This privilege-based sliding scale model was adapted from Valley Tattoo, Dura Mater Wellness, Little Red Bird Botanicals, and Pronia Coaching.
